Thing #22 ListenNJ

Well, my second experience with ListenNJ was a lot speedier than my first. I did this at home back around the holidays. I needed to download the software first. Actually it went fairly smoothly, but took a while. Remember, I have dialup service.

When it came to downloading the book (The Camelot Caper), let's just say I started the download, and got kicked off the Internet about 2 hours in. I started it going again and went Christmas shopping. When I got home, it was all done. It took about 8 hours.

I then transferred it to my MP3 player from my computer. All in all, except for the time commitment, it went well.

For this exercise I downloaded Dorothy L. Sayers' Whose Body? a Lord Peter Wimsey. It downloaded all the parts in about 5 minutes to the desktop. I then listened a little, fast forwarding through the biographical sketch. Quite a difference. I think I'll use PCPlus from now on...
