It was easy and fun to add something to the OCL Webthings wiki. I can see its use for publicity design - everyone could do his/her own version of a layout, font, etc. and everyone could view it to see which one is most pleasing. Like any other wiki, this could be used for policies/procedures, shared resources for reader's advisory, or any shared information.
Did I already say this was fun? Favorites - who doesn't love them?
In programming I used to use the warehouse for things like this. Someone suggested a wiki, and now after doing this exercise I can see that having to have the invite key would provide a measure of security the warehouse doesn't afford.
